Main Corridor Progress
‘In the beginning there was a river. The river became a road and the road branched out to the whole world.’
The Famished Road by Ben Okri

Two structures have been built, from floor to ceiling, to alter the profile of the corridor. They are part of Donald Urquhart’s development of the central corridor at Dykebar Hospital. Urquhart’s intention is to soften the perspective of the corridor and ‘subtly interrupt the straight lines of the corridor by reducing the width on either side in two consecutive areas, creating more of a ‘meander’.

Urquhart’s work on the corridor is in progress.
